The Commander Sculptures in Rise of Kingdoms are mainly used to unlock and upgrade the skills of the commanders. You can also use the Commander Sculptures to upgrade commander star but it is not recommended in most cases.
There are 2 types of Commander Sculptures:
-Sculptures of specific Commanders. 10 commander-specific sculptures are required to unlock a commander.
-The Universal Sculptures can be used to improve any type of commander depending on their rarity

The Universal Sculptures can be used to improve any type of commander depending on their rarity ( Advanced, Elite, Epic and Legendary)
The higher rarity the sculpture is, the harder it is to get.
